As the the specialized training and capacity building division of the Eastern Africa Grain Council (EAGC) this service delivery vehicle is mandated to provide Research, Technical Consultancy, Business and Technical Advisory, Mentorship, Training and Capacity Building services to the grain sector stakeholders across Africa and beyond.
Our efforts through the Grain Business Institute (GBI) are geared towards understanding the existing capacity needs and gaps of the grain value chain stakeholders and proactively responding to them by collectively and collaboratively designing and delivering solutions through training, research, technical advisory and support, mentorship and consultancy services. The overall outcome is enhanced competitiveness of the grain sector with assured optimum returns on investments for all the stakeholders as a result of a functional regional structured trading system.
The Eastern Africa Grain Council (EAGC) is founded, held in trust, and governed by its Active and Affiliate Members, with all services designed to address their needs and priorities. Members, together with the Board, have the authority to introduce or revise membership categories through a constitutional amendment approved in accordance with the agreed constitutional process.
