Zanzibar declaration on resilient grain markets in Africa: 7 resolutions adopted at the 11th African Grain Trade Summit (AGTS)

The participants of the 11th African Grain Trade Summit reaffirmed their collective commitment to building resilient, inclusive, and competitive grain markets that will drive Africa’s food security and economic transformation.

Over 200 delegates gathered at the 11th African Grain Trade Summit (AGTS) under the theme “Resilient Grain Markets: Unlocking Africa’s Food Security Potential”, Representing governments, The International Grains Council (IGC),African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), African Regional Standards Organization (ARSO), Regional Economic Communities (RECs), the private sector, farmers’ organizations, cross-border traders, millers, financial institutions, technology and innovation service providers, research and academic institutions, development partners, and civil society including International Grain Trade Coalition (IGTC), International Grains Council (IGC) and the Grain and Feed Trade Association (Gafta);
